most cars with key less entry have a key some where in the alarm its self that key can get you into the car but not turn on the car. to be able to turn on the car you would have to put a new battery in it. With this key you be able to at least gain entry.
To shut off the alarm u need to stick the key in the trunk and turn it this will turn off the alarm
On your keyless remote. On your keyless remote.
Need to reset alarm on my 07 Kia Spectra because I just changed the battery.
first you cut the power wire to the alarm which should be connected to the battery and then you disconnect the battery fo at least 10 minutes
Yes, you can have a car alarm without remote keyless entry. You can read more at www.ecarsecurity.com or www.autotechs.com
im guessing that your talking about the alarm/keyless remote. You will find that you have to get closer and closer to the car to be able to unlock it. You should replace the battery when you have to be within about 10ft from the car.
Have you checked your fuses?
We got it off had to move the battery around in the remote keyless entry...then the doors unlocked and the car will start now...Thx anyway :)
When opening the vehicle with the entry key the alarm is automatically turn off.
i thought it did but it don't. it has a "panic button" that makes the car alarm sound.it's just keyless entry and pop-trunk. i thought it did but it don't. it has a "panic button" that makes the car alarm sound.it's just keyless entry and pop-trunk.
Try pressing the lock and unlock button together until you hear the horn beep once and that should work.
Im not sure if you're talking about remote starters or alarms, but the alarm light did pop on when I changed the battery in my 95 Jeep GC Laredo. All I had to do was lock and unlock the doors a few times to reset the system.
