However, you should know this because of the 2009 Miracle on the Hudson, in which Captain Sullenberger of a flight from Newark was forced to land a plane in the Hudson River. He missed the George Washington Bridge by about 90 feet and no one was hurt, miraculously! He is now an American hero.
