Why do people say joe Jonas gay?

Every boy band is subject to being called "gay", mostly by those who don't like them, and they try to use the word "gay" as an insult.

There's never been a boy band in modern time that hasn't been accused of being gay. However, there have been a number of boy bands that have had gay members. Lance Bass of N'Sync, Jonathan Knight of New Kids On The Block, Mark Feehily of Westlife, and Jaymi Hensley of Union J are just a few.

Certain members of One Direction seem to be extremely close. To some, that's a sign of a great friendship. To others that want their minds to stray in a different direction, either out of animosity toward them, or hope that it's true, they think that the closeness means far more than friendship. Examples such as boy band The Wanted seeming to some to be far too close to each other, even in Music Videos, them being a British band in the same generation as One Direction, and current speculation about which of them will be the "Lance Bass of the group", naturally leads people to wondering about One Direction as well.

It seems statistically likely that one of the group could be, but it isn't guaranteed and is possible that none of them are gay. Ultimately, whether they are or they aren't isn't a real issue. It isn't anyone's business.If one or more are gay, they'll only say that if it won't hurt their careers. If none of them are gay, that's fine as well and, as the saying goes, haters will hate.
