No its just to clean your injectors the fuel injector cleaner will just go right through the filter it wont do anything to filter.
Once you relive the fuel pressure, you have to remove the fuel rail, the injector just pulls out. Use new o-ring.

i have a 99 alero gls coupe, and the only reason it ran rough was because the fuel injector was dirty, i just bought some fuel injector cleaning fluid at walmart for 2.50 and it worked perfectly fine
