First things first . Muslims don't pray to mecca , Muslims don't pray to some black stone or Muhammad or some emperor ,etc etc. Muslims pray to Allah and mecca is not Allah . Mecca (Mekkah) is just a direction towards which a Muslim faces while praying. 5 times prayer a day is commandment of Allah for a Muslim to do so and it si duty of a Muslim to pray 5 times a day.
