John Hinckley, Jr. was not a very good shot, and the six rounds he managed to get off in the assassination attempt hit four different people. Reagan was actually hit "accidentally."

∙ 14y agoYes. Secret Service agent James Brady took a shot to the the head for Ronald Reagan during the assassination attempt. He was not killed but suffered major brain damage and will never be the same again.
