Recessive traits will be shown when the organism is an xx combination, instead of an XX, or Xx. Perhaps my crudely drawn punnet square will be a better illustration

The recessive trait in an organism can be seen when both the allelic genes governing the trait are in homozygous recessive condition. Also if an organism is grown from haploid cells, as in case of haploid plants raised from pollen culture, the recessive trait becomes evident. In other words, in the absence of its dominant counterpart, a recessive trait is shown.
