There are several things that can cause an engine to quit when you open the throttle. A poorly adjusted carburetor, and poor airflow through the air intake system are two common causes.
change left side windo
There could be any number of reasons but it could be the idle is set too low. The idle is the rpms that your engine runs at just sitting there without you stepping on the gas. It should be somewhere between 800 and 1000 rpms.
Idling is what your car is doing when it is just sitting somewhere running. As soon as you press on the gas it is no longer idling. Your idle speed is the number of RPMs your engine runs at when you are idling.
My battery is dead as a doornail but if i jump start it, she runs just fine. So i would say no. As long as you jump it, it should run. Im not 100 % sure, but mine runs even with a dead battery.
Check the PCV valve and EGR valve. Also, run a computer diagnostic. You should be able to borrow, rent or buy a code scanner for that veicle at your local auto parts retailer.
You dont you replace the timing control module
I would suspect a vacuum leak. If the car is over 10 years old, I would recommend you replace all vacuum hoses under the hood. Do them one at a time as to not get confused.
At 35mph it runs rough. Also when idling it will quit running, sometimes. Does that sound like I need new spark plugs? How many miles are new plugs & wires good for?
Cuz it runs on diesel or your cat is shot, sorry bud.
one of the main reasons an engine runs on or diesels can be related to the fact that it is idling too fast. Set the idling down and see if this imporoves
Dirty Carberator. The needle vavle isn't letting enough gas in when you push the throttle and it is starving for gas and then kills.
it maybe just a timing problem
