With the key, the lock is underneath the white, pentagon-shaped emblem on the trunk lid.
The lock is behind the Lincoln emblem on the trunk. Or press the lockable trunk release button on the inside driver door panel.

We use a key to open it. Look at the trunk hood. There should be a moveable emblem hiding the keyhole.
the lug nut adapter is located in the trunk with your jack, spare, and lug wrench, if you have taken it to a shop they may have put the adapter in your glove box, its about twice the size of a lug nut.
I think that will gain you access to the alarm settings sensitivity and such.
is this a convertible? if it is, remove the back seats, take apart the hydraulic hose, and turn the nozzles inside to the right or to the left. do this on both pieces of the hose. Next, pull the trunk up slowly. This will be hard and requires two people. if it is a hardtop, flip the emblem in the back up. There will be a keyhole
