I do not know who wrote this answer but it is most definitely wrong. Clara Barton was born in 1821, so I am confused as to how she could retire before she was born. Clara Barton retired in 1904.
She went back to her home in Washington, then she built a new home in Glen Echo, Maryland, eight miles from Capitol Hill, just outside the District of Columbia, on the historic Potomac River.
Clara Barton died on April 12th nineteen twelve. I hope people will continue to remember her great achievements
