This happened op June 20/21, 1791.
Varennes is a very significant episode during the French revolution. King Louis XVI, his wife and children and some servants fled the Tuillerie palace in which they had been put on "house-arrest" after their removal from their palace at Versailles.
Louis XVI eventually decided to flee after Marie Antoinette had been seriously threatened to be murdered and it became obvious that the Revolutionists and the monarchs were not warming up to the idea of constitutional reigning of France (reigned by the Assemble Nationale and Louis XVI together). Marie Antoinette was the one that begged her husband to flee with the family, he eventually caved to the idea. They attempted to flee to Montmédy, Count von Fersen (who was a very close personal friend of Marie Antoinette) made the plan together with the Braon de Bretuil. With a carriage they fled in the middle of the night. They were to meet royal troups in Montmédy who would assist them organize counter revolutionary actions and to restore the monarchy.
Because the berline in which they traveled was so heavily packed it crept towards Montmédy and the trip took too long. When they arrived in the little town Varennes, all of France already knew the royal family had escaped Paris en everybody was on the look out. La Fayette even ordered an arrest warrant. A postmaster called Drouet recognized the king's face while in Varennes (in spite of his disguise) from a 50 livres banknote. La Fayette rushed over and handed the King his arrest warrant and they were escorted back to Paris.
He was recognized by a revolutionary postmaster named Jean-Baptiste Drouet.
Louis XVI tried to escape France on the night of 20/21 June, 1791. They got as far as Varennes before they were captured.
Necker
He died while he was imprisoned in the Temple prison. He was first imprisoned with his father (Louis XVI), mother (Marie Antoinette) and his sister (Marie Therese Charlotte), but after the French beheaded his father, they put him in an isolation cell away from his family who he would never see again. He was kept in the isolation cell for two years until his death. He was abused in horrible ways by his keepers. He probably died of the causes of abuse.

Louis xvi ran away, because there was the revolution in the third estate, who are the peasantry. They had to pay all the taxes and rents for the other two estates and the king. Thus, they had grudge against the king. However at the end, the king couldn't contro the riots, so he ran away. But, he caught in Varennes.
they tried to escape but the king sent soldiers to guard the towns so no one could escape.
Tom Robinson was moved to a jail in Abbottsville and he tried to run away. As he tried to climb the fence, the guards shot him 17 times.
Louis XVI was born 23rd of August 1754 and died on the 21st of January 1793, France believed he wasn't a good king but he was incredibly shy and a good man. He and his wife Marie Antoinette got married when he was 15 and she was 14. Louis suffered from ailurophobia - fear of cats. He had to have tests done on him to make him better in the bedroom department and allow Marie to fall pregnant. He was sentenced to death by a vote of 361 to 288. His hobbies included hunting and making clocks. He tried to get away by dressing up as a servant to get away from France when they wanted him dead but a local shopkeeper spotted him and reported him. He was guillotined to death.Hope this helped you!! :) xxx

If slaves tried ran away or tried to make an attempt to run away, they would be punished . Most people say they were whipped or were not fed food for days or had to do more work around the area.

He was a twin of the king. When they were born the father (not biological btw) has one take away to that the two would not fight for the kingdom. When the lucky twin became king and found out about his twin he had the guy locked up and put in a mask so people wouldn't recognize him.
