Why did Louis xvi run away?

Louis xvi ran away, because there was the revolution in the

third estate, who are the peasantry. They had to pay all the taxes

and rents for the other two estates and the king. Thus, they had

grudge against the king. However at the end, the king couldn't

contro the riots, so he ran away. But, he caught in Varennes.
