To dispell a more widely held myth, Lee did not found, organize, or even belong to the organization known as the Ku Klux Klan. Some trace the Klan as an Underground movement as far back as the fall of Gettysburg- when the CSA knew the war was lost on a strategic scale. The Klan was founded by Nathan Bedford Forrest , another CSA general, but not Lee!
