He later switched back to Dean guitars after his contract with Washburn was up. Both Dean and Washburn had Dimebag signature pickups

If you think he is, then yes, he is. It's all a matter of opinion.
It isn't much different from a normal guitar, apart from the fact that it sometimes consists of a different neck (different type of wood) and is considered by some people to be easier to play.
