It has never been illegal in the US, for it to be against the law. It would have to violate someones right and them suffer damage (elements of a valid cause of action). Courts are to maintain and protect indiviual rights that is there purpose and that is all they can do so with this said you can wear PJ'S in public as long as it covers the sexual parts of your body.

Girls should not laugh at boys for wearing a skirt, it's not fair to restrict peoples fashion and its not fair for girls to wear what they like and boys can't. In Scotland, men wear kilts (sp?) which look like skirts, and there's nothing wrong with that, I suppose.
