Revere was on the road to Lexington/Concord when he was stopped by a British patrol. He was enroute to warn Sam Adams and others that the British had landed in Charlestown and were enroute to collect/find any guns or powder. Since he was on the road after curfew he was stopped and arrested. As this was going on Prescott and Dawes came by, saw what was happening and kept going to Concord.
He, and a few other friends were on the way to warn the Americans that the British were coming but Paul was caught and held proisoner.
It seems he was caught in 1234.....
