Slavery still exists today in various places and guises. Including Africa... but it ended here in 1865 when the 13th Amendment was ratified.

Bad answer above. The US Constitution specified that the new Congress could outlaw the slave TRADE 20 years after ratification - and Congress did so on the first possible day. SO zero African slaves or other slaves brough here after 1810.

Slaver continued IN Africa despite intervention by Brit and US forces.
