When did the Egyptian army arrive in Israel?

It depends on the war.

The Egyptian Army has crossed into what is now Israel during the Arab-Israeli War of 1948-9 (also known as the Israeli Independence War, the Nakba, and the second half of the Jewish-Arab Engagement). The Egyptian Army crossed into de jure Israel on the 15 May 1948 and quickly overran much of the Negev Desert. Israel eventually expelled Egypt from most of the former British Mandate of Palestine with the exception of the Gaza Strip by November 1948.

As the Arab Israeli Wars of 1956 (also known as the Suez Crisis and the Tripartite War) and 1967 (also known as the Six Day War) were both started by Israeli advances into Egyptian territory based on the threat of oncoming war, the Egyptian army did not arrive in Israel during either conflict.

The Egyptian Army also successfully crossed the border into the Israeli-Occupied Sinai Peninsula during the Arab-Israeli War of 1973 (also known as the Yom Kippur War, the October War, and the Ramadan War). The Egyptian Army crossed into Egyptian territory under legal Israeli Occupation (see UNSC Resolution 242) on 6 October 1973. Israel contained the Egyptian offensive to the east bank of the Suez Canal and Egyptian troops never marched on Israel proper.

Since 1979, Egypt and Israel have not gone to war, but leading Israeli and Egyptian generals will visit each other to coordinate defenses against the Palestinian Terrorism the comes out of the Gaza Strip. Some of these meetings occur within Israeli territory, although their times and dates are relatively obscure and quiet for reasons of political sensitivity.
