Why the bulb is not lighting when one wire or terminal is not connected?

When one wire or terminal is not connected to a light bulb, it is not possible for electricity to complete the circuit. When a circuit is not completed, the bulb will not light. An off switch, for example, breaks the circuit.

The glass of the light bulb is not conductive, so the circuit would not be completed. You would need to join the wires to the positive and negative contacts on the base of the bulb for the circuit to work.

How to replace headlight bulb 98 Camry?

Find two clowns, have one replace it while the other one supervises. J/K. Behind the headlight should be a dial of some sort that holds the bulb in. Turn the dial to release the bulb. Once that is completed, then you should be able to remove the bulb. Simple. (The hard part is knowing which way to turn it and if it's stuck from grime and dust).

Why do my blinkers blink too fast and my rear brake lights not work?

That bulb is burnt out. When the circuit is not completed like with a blown bulb, the flasher unit will blink faster to let the driver know something is wrong with that side. It should only be faster with the side that is burnt out.

How to repair headlights on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am?

I believe the bulb can be accessed from the rear of the lamp by simply raising the hood. once this is completed and you have a visual of the rear of the lamp you will need to simply turn the bulb to the left. this will allow it to be removed from the lamp assembly. once removed it is easier to remove the wire harness at the connector. simply pull the connector free from the bubl and discard the bulb. DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB WITH YOUR HANDS. The oil on your hands can cause the bulb to explode when it reaches temperature. Simply connect the wire harness by pushing the connector back on the bulb and then inserting the bulb back into the lamp and twisting to the right. If the lamp is not accessible fromt he back you may need to remove the lamp. If this is the case their should be a means by which to do this. It will either be a simple lever devise or a fastemer type of service. Ususally if you buy a bulb at a PEP Boys or any type of shop of this type they will replace it for you.
