What was the Christian Testament and you do not know where it can be found in the Bible?

First that question is not properly written to give you the perfect answer. The "Christian testament"? The Bible is made out of the "Old Testament" and the "New Testament" which is the Bible. The Bible is broken up by different books that create the Old and the New. In the Old Testament, that is where Jesus has not yet come to earth and die for our sins. Therefore, in the Old Testament there was worse judgment on the world. Then, the New Testament is when Jesus finally came to earth to die for our sins so that we may have eternal life. Basically, the Bible is in two halves. The Old Testament starts with Genesis where God talks about how he created the world. Then the New Testament starts in the Book of Matthew then so on. If you are looking to study about Jesus Christ, start with the New Testament.

What are some good books to read for a struggling Christian?

If you have already read the Bible and yet consider yourself a struggling Christian, you may need to change your expectations of the Bible. You read the Bible, expecting it to be logically consistent and to describe a God who loves you and you can love in return, yet you found inconsistences from one part of the Bible to another, and you found God often to be irrational, demanding and even cruel. You now need to read a book, written by a Christian for Christians, that puts what you found in the Bible into some sort of perspective and helps you to accept the Bible with all its limitations. There are many of these, and it is hard to suggest one without knowing your age and expectations.A broad introductory text to the New Testament is a good place to start, since Christianity is more about the New Testament than the Old. "An Introduction to the New Testament", written by Raymond E. Brown and published by Doubleday (1996) is excellent for an adult with a reasonable grasp of the Christian faith. The book is a little challenging, but not overly academic and could suit someone who has already read the entire Bible. Father Brown is a Catholic but does not look at the Bible from a particularly Catholic perspective.

Did the Catholic church use Christianity Judaism and Islam and rewrite one Bible?

The Catholic Church maintained the Hebrew Bible (in translation; not always accurate) and added to it the Christian Testament. They didn't adopt texts or precepts from Islam, because their Bible had been set in its permanent form long before the start of Islam. On the contrary, it was Islam that adopted certain things from Christianity.

How would you explain the Bible to a child?

This depends on what you believe about the Bible. Christians believe the Bible is God's word, God's communication with mankind. If you are a Christian the best way to explain the Bible to your child is to start at the beginning. The Bible reveals to us who God is, what God is like, His character, His attributes, His relationship to mankind. God has revealed Himself to us within the context of the historical events recorded in the scriptures. If you are not a Christian the you can explain the Bible as a history book ANOTHER ANSWER: A parent begins by studying and knowing the Bible, himself. Then, he may be able to teach his child that the Bible is "Truth" (John 17:17)... and that only God opens up that Truth to a "contrite and humble heart" (Isa. 66:2). And then finish up by being a "living example" of that Truth through his own actions that His child can see... and hopefully emulate in his life.
