Members of the genus Australopithecus lived in Africa from around four to three million years ago. If the robust Australopithecines are included (now also known as Paranthropus) then Australopithecines can be considered to have existed up to around two million years ago. - Australopithecines were any of several extinct humanlike bipedal primates with relatively small brains of the genus Australopithecus that lived from 1 to 4 million years ago.

In the first Planet of the Apes film the apes crash-land, and they fall out because they were not being looked after very well by that horrid lady. I do not appreciate animal abuse and am very sorry that the poor apes did not survive to the end of the film. If you are thinking of abusing animals I'd like you to rethink this horrible choice young lady. I would like you to go to some anger calming classes before your temper gets out of control.

Were Adam and Eve apes?

What is an ape? We have been called the "naked ape", but is that a good description or just good publicity. More broadly, biologists classify the great apes and humans together as primates. We are primates and the first humans were therefore primates just as we are. Whether the first humans were the Adam and Eve of the Bible is a matter of faith.
