The volcano erupted on April 14, 2010 for a second time in less than a month.
Eyjafjallajökull started erupting on April 14, 2010 and stopped on May 21, 2010. However on June 6, 2010, a new crater opened on the west side. That one stopped in October.

You're probably thinking of the second, much larger volcano in Iceland that began showing signs that it may be about to erupt after the start of the Eyjafjallajökull eruption. That volcano is named Katla.
