If you mean the war between the United Kingdom and the USA, it began when the US declared war on 18th of June of 1812 and formally ended with the Treaty of Ghent in January 1815 (although there was actually a battle after the treaty had been signed because no-one 'across the water' was aware of the treaty until a few weeks later). During the Napoleonic Wars, France invaded Russia in 1812. This invasion is called both the War of 1812 and also the Patriotic War.
