Typically, babies will be saying their first words between the age of 10 months to 18 months. Some take a bit longer, but if a baby is not talking by the age of 24 months the child should be taken to see a doctor for an assessment in case there is a medical reason for the delay.

First of all, Family Guy is a cartoon for entertainment only.

Now, all one has to do is put ones self in a baby's shoes. just pretend your a newborn.

As babies watch, they most likely learn through repitition. The arm movements for up, or they may squirm to get let down. They learn that through crying , they will get attended to. The repeating of words and then the example of what the word represents. The opening of the arms for the baby to come.

Then there are signs from fingers and hands and the repitition and representaion that will get them to signify what they want. So they probally learn mostly by repitition...

You may use books with simple and colorful pictures to attract his/her interest. Explain him/her what the words mean.

Singing songs to him/her as frequently as you can may help him/her to better understanding for some words in the songs.

Praise him/her a lot when he/she starts making a new sound. You may clap or cheer him/her or do whatever makes him/her happy. He/she will certainly keep trying to do so.
