They usually start eating it in about 6 - 8 months
but what I did is when it was 6 months old
we added 3/4 a cup of kitten food and 1/4 of cat food
and mix it and give it to thecat
than when it was about 7 months old we gave 1/2 of each food
then when it turned about 7 1/2 we gave it cat food
kittens stop eatting from the cat , between 6-8 weeks.

Answer:First you start out by just giving them luke warm Kitten Replacer Milk (KMR). When the kittens are around six weeks old you can start adding little bit of wet cat food. As they get older and you start to wean them onto more solid food. Don't give them hard food straight away; use this:Take some cat food and kitten milk. Put it all in a blender until it isn't clumpy anymore, then warm it for 30 seconds or less and then give it to them. After they have gotten used to it, gradually make it chunkier until they are eating solely kitten food. After that the kittens should start eating there food graciously. I have 5 6-week old kittens and I just started this recipe and it is cheap and affordable. They should love it and you could use leftover meat like cooked chicken or turkey as a treat.Answer:Kittens around six to eight weeks old can start to be introduced to solid food as this is around the time they start to be weaned off the mother's milk. Try mashing up some good quality wet/canned food (look for a brand with a high named meat content and no grain, such as Felidae or Blue Buffalo to avoid tummy upsets) for them. Mixing the food with a little bit of KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) at first helps the kittens get used to solid food. Gradually, over the course of several weeks, decrease the amount of water/milk in the food as the kittens become more confident with eating.
Kittens bite not to hurt but to play. Your kitten will likely grow out of this. Adult cats will also bite. Cats usually bite when they're playing, trying to get your attention or warning you not to do something. For example if you scratch or rub your cats lower back he/she might bite you to tell you he/she doesn't like you doing that or just isn't in the mood for it. The best things to do is to learn your kitten's behaviour, especially how she acts when she's about to bite. Refrain from playing with her with your hands and use toys instead. When your kitten bites, you can either try and distract her attention with a toy, or make your hand or arm completely limp. A kitten will quickly grow bored of unmoving "prey" and will let go. Ignoring the kitten for a few minutes afterwards will also help. Kittens love attention, so a kitten will quickly learn that biting, scratching and other behaviours will get it ignored - so will stop such behaviour. NEVER hit your cat; this will just make it fearful of you. Cats respond poorly to negative reinforcement.
A male kitten typically does not start spraying, it sprays at all, until 6 months of age. A kitten neutered before it starts to spray is less likely to do so.
I can't say that would never happen, but most domestic kittens and cats know when to stop eating.
