I usually replace fuel filter every after 35,000km and have had no problem since 2002.
The fuel filter on a 2002 Camry is an "In-Tank Filter". This means the filter is in the gas tank and is integrated with the fuel pump. In order to replace the filter, you must remove the tank and disassemble the fuel pump. Toyota's service schedule, which can be found at ToyotaOwnersOnline.com, does not list the fuel filter replacement through 120K miles (as high a the schedule goes). Good Luck.
where is the gas filter in a Toyota Camry 1994?
The 2002 Toyota Camry is a gas-powered vehicle.
The gas tank on the 2002 Toyota Camry holds 18.5 gal..
You can find it just under the air filter.
It is possibly the gas pump became damaged...ortry dropping some gas in the carburetor directly, then try to start it againAlso replace the fuel filter.
If I remember correctly it may be the fuel filter. but if it is the line it is easy to replace .
First you need to release gas pressure in the high pressure gas line, disconnect the pump harness. Remove the bolts. After that remove carefully the pump from the tank, make sure that there is no dust around. Replace the filter, reinstall.
replace the fule filter. If that doesn't fix it you may need injectors.
Some people never replace and in most cases you do not have to. But if you bought the car from someone else or you used put cheap gas I would change filter at least each 100K miles.
When your car has problems with fuel delivery. Usually, if you put a good quality gas in your car (Shell, Mobil and so on) you do not have to do it at all.
You can find it next to the gas tank.
