There are different conventions as to what work is negative and what work is positive. The convention used by engineers and physicists is that work done BY the system on its surroundings is positive while work done ON the system by its surroundings is negative. Chemists reverse these conventions.

When you say consequences they are all positive. When you say impact, they may be positive or negative, such as positive impact or negative impact. But we don't use phrases like positive consequence or negative consequence. But there are surely positive and negative impacts! What do you say?

Positive + positive = positive Negative + negative = negative Positive + negative will take the sign of the number with the greater absolute value.

The quotient of a positive integer by a negative is always negative. Say this to yourself a couple times: "MULTIPLICATION: minus times minus is plus (negative x negative = positive).....minus times plus is minus (negative x positive = negative) times plus is plus (positive x positive = positive) DIVISION: minus divi minus is plus (negative ÷ negative = positive)......minus divi plus is minus (negative ÷ positive = negative) divi plus is plus (positive ÷ positive = positive)"

Im going to have to say negative.

When one of them is negative and the other is positive.

When both are positive or both are negative.

In the simplest case (direction doesn't change, force is constant), work is defined as:work = force x distance x cos(angle) No work is done when any of these factors is zero. In more complicated cases, an integral must be used for the calculation. In this case, it is possible that for part of the path, positive work is done, for another part, negative work, in which the total work MIGHT just happen to be zero.

the name of the negative electrode is the cathode the name of the positive electrode is the anode

No a positive plus a positive is not a negative its a positive. because um lets say 6+7 there is no negative number so its just like regular adding.

Marrant, translates into English as "funny". I would say that is positive.

If it's a job interview or similar situation I only say positive ones. But if its just a conversation with a friend i say both negative and positive.

well it depends what positive is being misused by the negative lets say it was, Example:-3 - +3 then that would equal 0 because when you minusing or plussing a negative with a positive the terms are backwards

when a force acts to move an object,we say that work was done on the object

It means it has a positive and a negative side.

It depends on whether or not what you are measuring is good or bad. Most people would say that minimum pain is positive or that minimum happiness is negative.

most people think raps are negative but they are positive then they get negative for example in wings he gets good shoes then they get stolen

You didn't say what the numbers were but if the negative number was of greater value (for example -2 + 1) than your answer would be negative. But if the positive number had greater value (2 + -1) than your answer would be positive.

Acceleration is a vector. It has both a magnitude and a direction. So you first have to choose which direction is positive. Lets say we choose "left" as negative and "right" as positive. If an object is increasing speed (positive magnitude) while moving Right (positive direction) its acceleration is Positive' If an object is decreasing speed (negative magnitude) while moving Right (positive direction) its acceleration is Negative. If an object is increasing speed (positive) while moving Left (negative direction) its acceleration is Negative. If an object is decreasing speed (negative) while moving Left (negative) its acceleration is Positive. For vertical motion you would probably choose "up" as positive and "down" as negative.

it was positive because i say so and he inspired people

We know that polar compounds are for example we have water with a negative end and a positive ens the negative end is the oxygen while the positive end is the hydrogen. So we can say that the positive and the negative ends make them seem polar.

The child will be either B or O (not A or AB), but whether positive or negative is impossible to say.
