A '97 Odyssey has a timing belt, not a chain. The belt needs to be replaced at 100K intervals.
my mechanic says it has a timing chain, but I've read where others say it has a timing belt. I need to know so I'll know when/if it needs changing. I have 117,650 miles on the 2004 Honda Odyssey EXL. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) the 3.5 liter V6 engine in a 2004 Honda Odyssey has a timing BELT ( change at 105,000 miles normal service , or 60,000 miles severe service according to the Gates website , they seem to list the manufacturers recommendations on their website )
Yes, it has a filter but it never needs changing until the transmission is rebuilt. It is a lifetime filter.
I have a 1998 honda 300ex that needs the timing set how do i do that
CHECK THE GROUND ON YOUR MOTOR, NEEDS TO VERY CLEAN AND TIGHT.
It does not have a timing belt it has a chain
changing the timing belt is either pretty involved or pretty expensive. if you dont remember doing it or paying the $900+ to have it do then it wasnt done.
According to Honda, no, it is a lifetime fluid. My advice is to change it every 75,000 miles.
If there is no cold air coming from the air conditioner on a Honda Odyssey the condenserÊmay have failed. No cold air coming from the air conditioner can also mean that the unit needs to be recharged.
its a chain, never
According to my Honda service guy, the 2007 Honda Civic timing belt does not have to be changed till 105,000 miles
Sounds like the transmission needs to be serviced. Get it checked soon.
