all the time, the ATP is like the battery in your cell phone, it is small and compact. imagine having to carry around a car battery to power your phone, the car battery is like Glucose, it is to large and bulky for a cell to use and it would go bad pretty fast. so ATP is a little bit of that glucose molecule and is much more convenient than the entire molecule itself. we covered this in Biology about two weeks ago
