If there a more than 1 in a tank they are talking.
If you are holding them they are either,Mad,Scared,Trying to talk to you. So it is nothing bad!
maybe because they do not like it or they are annoyed . but maybe they squeak because they are happy.
Gerbils use squeaks that sound like 'bird tweets' as a sign of communication between other gerbils. If you have more than one gerbil, you would hear them squeaking at eachother. Its really cute though :)
Gerbils can squeak but usually not on their own. ( Unless he's frustrated or playing with another gerbil.) If you are trying to pick him up with one hand, using your third and thumb to curl around his belly, he might squeak to say 'Stop that!' or 'I'm not comfortable.' Gerbils that are kept in pairs and are happy may 'sing'. Singing is basically the same as squeaking. So yes gerbils can squeak.
no gerbils think mice are very mean, rotten and smelly
my gerbil is called snuffles and she is very clever she is very quiet but if you hold her next to your ear then you can hear her doing very quiet squeaks. if i grab her a bit too hard then she does a louder squeak and you will easily hear her. i hope your gerbils are as clever as my little snuffles. i have trained her tricks:)
if you mean will they fight for dominate then yes
They squeak for many resons. If its a loud squel that can mean they're in pain. If they make a short loud squeck that most likely means there mad. and if they just make a medium squeak it means they're happy.
it means that they are pissed off.
Gerbils can talk with their bodies. When they look like they are kissing they are saying hello. Also when gerbils thump their hind legs it can be telling other gerbils there is danger, it's excited or it wants to mate.
to squeak = charak (חרק) squeak (noun) = charikah (חריקה)
squeak! I'm a chipmunk-squeak- and i thinki have short fur- squeak. Hope i-squeak- helped
It makes a warning noise to alert other gerbils in the colony that 'something' might not be right. It puts the other gerbils on alert too, to be aware of potential danger.
