Yes the timing belt also drives the water pump. To save on labor costs later on, replace the water pump.

The instructions are specific and may require you to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes. Best I recall, you are then required to operate the door with the console button depressed till the door fully closes and once again till it is fully open. Just a thought. I have a Toyota Sienna also. The gas compartment is on the left side. If the gas compartment is even popped then there is a safety mechanism that will not let the door open. Your compartment might be closed, but you could be having a mechanical problem with the compartment that would cause the safety mechanism to come on. Simple, but could just be it.

Wire , lots and lots of wiring , but you need to be more specific , a Echo uses 4 coils , 1 for each cylinder , and being a mechanic myself at a Toyota dealership , this is rare. Make sure your not having condensation problems , ex water around the coils , as this will cause arcing and it will look like the coil is not delivering its spark.
