This guy is one smooth operator and yes, that's exactly what he is saying. He is still attached to his ex wife and he is hiding behind his children. A parent that is divorced must always be careful whom they choose for their partner because it does involve children, but, he could make the time to slowly introduce you to his children so they could get to know you better. He will always be attached to his ex because of their children. This guy is having his cake and eating it too. It's time you took control of the situation and communicated your feelings to him without losing your cool. Tell him if this is the case then the relationship is over because you simply want more in a relationship. This will either force him to be honest with himself and see that he really loves you or, he'll hang around with his ex wife and children.
