Check to see if the coolant level is low. If you have a leak in the system and the level drops low enough your heater can't do it's thing.
There are heater doors on the heat blower box that direct the path of the heat. Apparently the heater door to the floor vents is stuck closed.
Front heater core is in the dash, the rear heater core is all the way in the back of the vehicle. If you have steam coming out of the dash vents, the front HC is leaking. If you have steam coming out of the rear heater vents, then the rear core is leaking.
Yes. The heater core provides the heat which blows out your vents. The heater core has engine coolant flowing through it (it is like a mini radiator) which creates the heat which warms the air that comes out your vents. If you have low coolant, there may be no coolant circulating through heater core, thus causing cold air to blow out vents.
Well first of all.. You want heat in your house when it's cold, RIGHT? So you turn on the heater with the knob.. and the heat comes out of the vents. No vents = explosion. And basically.. no vents as I said.. explosion, because the gas has nowhere to go so the pressure will build up and BOOM.. flames.
Check the vent operation. Check that both heater pipes (water) into and out of the heater core are hot, if only one is hot then normally the core is blocked and will need renewing
u need to replace the heater core in your car
Air still in the vents or freshly-shut coils still contain heat for a short amount of time after turning off the power. Also, it could take a short amount of time for the fans blowing the air to slow down, even after cutting power.
Heater core needs to be checked May need to be changed or cleaned answer heater core is bad, replace with a new one
The heater blower may not be working properly. Without the heater blower working, the air will not come through the vents.
It is for the rear heater. Press the button and this will enable heat to come out rear heater vents.
You have a vaccum leak that keeps the heater door from opening. Some of the vehicles have a vaccum control module under the dash that sometimes goes bad. This is what happened to my Dodge Ram. Check with a dealer in their parts department and they can tell you if this could be the problem. They should have a diagram showing where its at. Good luck.
