There are heater doors on the heat blower box that direct the path of the heat. Apparently the heater door to the floor vents is stuck closed.
The most likely reasons are the volume is turned down or the radio is not tuned to a station.
You have a vaccum leak that keeps the heater door from opening. Some of the vehicles have a vaccum control module under the dash that sometimes goes bad. This is what happened to my Dodge Ram. Check with a dealer in their parts department and they can tell you if this could be the problem. They should have a diagram showing where its at. Good luck.
If you are reffering to the one by Blood on the Dance Floor, it was 2011 :3
above the stereo, there is the cover look under it and you should see a little button. push the button in and remove that cap. you should be able to see your fuse box. then you will see 4 screws above the climate control. the 2 outer screws are for the vents which is connected to the stereo. take those 2 screw out and use a flathead to pry along the sides of the vents and then pull it out. your stereo should come out along w. the vents. then pop the deck from the frame and you can then change it.

Could be that your heater core is leaking May also have a plugged evaporator hole.
the middle vents only supply air from the ac unit using a separate in dash fan. the floor and defrost vents come only from the heater
Bad heater core.
The heater core has failed.
They both come from the ocean floor? That and it probably has to do with both allowing some type of plant or animal life to survive on the ocean floor.
IF a Vaccume hose comes off OR is bad going 2 the DASH Controls that will happen OR a bad Actuator or Actuator door (stuck) will cause that.Make sure the vaccume Canister is not cracked (if it hs one) Usally it's a very small Vaccume line(hose) that causes the Problem. You either have a vacuum leak in the heater control system, or a cable that has come off of its control panel...
Modern floor vents often feature adjustable airflow direction, allowing for customized air distribution. Some also come with built-in filters to improve air quality and reduce allergens. Additionally, smart vents can be controlled remotely through a smartphone app, providing convenience and energy efficiency. These features set modern floor vents apart from traditional designs by offering improved functionality and technology integration.
Dont know what the problem is but i can tell you its a vacuum leak . the vents are vacuum operated and require air pressure to change between the vents and floor. the defroster is default setting you may have a vacuum line that has come undone but all i know is its somewhere under the dash.
Cannot tell from the question if the problem is:Air is not blowing at allAir will not come out the dashboard vents, versus defrost or floor directional settingsSee "Related Questions" below for coverage of both
I just had that problem with my 99 Monte Carlo. When I accelerated or went uphill No air would come out of the dash vents. Problem was a Vacuum hose. Cost about $40 to fix.
Heat and steam coming from the dash and air vents after replacing the water pump means that a hose is hooked up backwards in the new installation. The heater is actually taking on water when it is supposed to only take on hot air.
Is it smoke or is it atomized freon leaking from the AC system? If it fogs the windshield and smells funny, you may have a leak in the AC/Heater system.
