When i fill the gas tank on my escalade the gas just stops and i have to press the gas pump to start again it does this over and over why?

theres a sensor on the nozzle of the gas filler, so sometimes when you have it in to far or tilted a certain way it cuts off as if it was "overfilling". happens to me too. doesnt have anything to do with your car.
