(Battery may be dead or you have a loose or corroded connection.(un-educated guess)
If the car starts the battery does nothing but complete the circuit and receive potential from the alternator... so a loose or corroded connection would cause the car not to start... the problem lies in the wires coming off the alternator.. basic electrical theory applied to vehicles..
i dont now
This is because when you turn the key it starts lights, radio, engine, etc. After you turn the car off it still needs a few minutes to turn off as the battery isn't extremely fast. When you come back in a hour it most definitely should have turned off or your car has a problem or you forgot to put your light on automatic. EDIT: no the lights go off normally a couple seconds after i get out, lock the car, and shut the door. but when i come back after an hour or more, the interior lights do not come on until i unlock it, get it, and turn on the ignition
I went to start my car. I turn the switch once. All the lights and stereo come on. But when i turn it all the way to start, I get nothing. No sound, no click, no crank, nothing. I tried to Jump it for about 10 minutes with the same result. Need Help Please.. Car is a 94 Ford Probe
Your car might turn off when you come to a stop because the car has an electrical problem or a problem with the distributor. It might also turn off when you come to a stop because of a timing issue.

There are about A thousand things that will turn the light on, If your car is still running fine it is likely that there is nothing major wrong, You can take it to be checked out, I suggest Auto-Zone for A good running car.
