The water pump on a 1994 Chrysler Concord is changed by removing the engine accessories, disconnecting the radiator hoses, and unbolting it from the engine block. The surface is then cleaned, a new gasket installed, and a replacement water pump mounted.
Follow the upper radiator hose, when installing the new thermostat be sure to put the temperature portion towards the engine block
on the drivers side of engine block is the 2 bolt thermostat housing next to the oil filter; alternator must be removed to get to it.
It is under the housing where the upper radiator hose attaches to the block.
For the 2.7l engine, the thermostat housing is all one piece. The housing is located under the alternator and attached to the engine block.
Unlike most cars where the thermostat is on top of engine. The 300 has its thermostat at the bottom of the engine. follow the lower radiator hose from the radiator back to the engine block. It is hooked to the thermostat housing, and of course... the thermostat is just under the housing. Its not easy to change, expect 1-2 hours , on a good day.
It could be a small leak that you're just not seeing or it may be ingesting the coolant through a bad head gasket or cracked block/head.
