The thermostat is located where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine.

You probably mean a Ford E150 van. On my 1994 E150, the thermostat is behind the air cleaner. Remove the aircleaner assembly. Remove the air hoses that go to the throttle body. You will then see the upper radiator hose. The thermostat is located where the hose enters the engine. You probably mean a Ford E150 van. There are 3 different motors listed for the 87 E150 Ford van. The 4.9 the 5.0 and the 5.8 all have the thermostat located where the top radiator connects to the motor in the housing that the hose connects to. It will be under the inlet on top of the engine block.

I just bought a thermostat for a 1995 Club Wagon (essentially an E150 Econoline) with a 5.8 L engine. They sold me a 192 degree thermostat. Is that what you wanted to know?

The thermostat is located on the right side of the engine looking in, in between the intake manifold and the air filter box, underneath the wiring. This is in a 1994 Ford Probe GT 6 cylinder
