The Assumption of Mary is the celebration of her being lifted body and soul (Assumed) into Heaven by Jesus Christ at the completion of her earthly life, and the Feast Day celebrating this is August 15th. This was declared as Dogma by Pope Pius XII in 1950. As a note, things aren't declared Dogma until their is a widespread disbelief in them; the Assumption of Mary is a belief that's been held by Christians since at least the 3rd Century.
