For a new hamster to get to know you and get used to you, get it out of its cage and put it on a counter or somewhere safe that you can lean into comfortably.Put a small piece of carrot or some peas or something that is suitable for hamters and get it to eat out of your hand and try and smooth it with the other do this alot and try and get it to go on your hand and soon it will get more used to you.
