I am not Religious,But I believe the Armageddon has been Misread to something else maybe 7107? if the 7's were curved, maybe. If not, this is all mass hysteria caused by a phychopath who wants world chaos.

Different Information:

Christians believe that the Scriptures do not predict the exact time of Armageddon.

A good reference from the Christian Scriptures would be the 24th Chapter of the Gospel of Matthew. Verse 36 from that chapter specifically states:

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (King James Version.)

.....................

It most likely isnt. The Bible says that there is no exact day or time.

The Bible does not tell us the exact time, but there are indications that it is near. One thing you can watch is when armies start heading toward Israel, because there will be huge armies that will try to attack Israel at Armageddon.

Just for a FYI:

Armies are getting closer to Israel every day. Some countries are trigger happy too so...... it may be just around the bend.

It has actually been noted the Sir Isaac newton studied the Bible. He was convinced that the end of the world would be in the year 2060.

Answer:

According to the biblical chronology of the book of Revelation where Armageddon is mentioned; Satan, the Beast (some say, Antichrist) and the False Prophet will make the call for the armies of the nations of the earth to gather there as the Great Tribulation ends, during the "pouring out" of the "last seven vial plagues of God's wrath" revealed in Revelation 16.

"...I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the Dragon, and out of the mouth of the Beast, and out of the mouth of the False Prophet. For they are the spirits of devils (demons), working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that Great Day of God Almighty... and he (should be, 'they,' the three demon spirits) gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon..." (Rev.16:13-16).

According to Bible chronology... the "seven Trumpet plagues" that the Two Witnesses call upon throughout the Tribulation (Rev.11) shall have been sounded... with Jesus gathering His saints along with the murdered Two Witnesses, to meet Him in the clouds as He descends from heaven with His angelic army, "at the sounding of the LAST TRUMP."

According to the Bible... the Two Witnesses will not be allowed to be killed until their allotted 3 1/2 years are done. The indication is that God will allow the Beast to kill them 3 1/2 days before the last trump is sounded, when they resurrect and ascend into the clouds:

"...when they have finished their testimony, the Beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified... and after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet... and they ascended up to heaven in a cloud..." (Rev.11:7-12).

So, as the last seven vial plagues of God's wrath in chapter 16 are poured out on the earth before Jesus makes His final descent onto the Mount of Olives... Jesus, His saints and His army wait in the clouds above the earth... as the armies of men gather at Armageddon.

The battle at Armageddon will occur about three-and-a-half years after the Great Tribulation begins and the Two Witnesses complete their witness and testimony:

"...I will give power unto My Two Witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (3 1/2 years)..." (Rev.11:3).

Another Answer:

One thing to note is that the "place" of Armageddon is not a literal place. We know this because it says in Revelation 16 that the WHOLE world is gathered to this place. The literal place of Megiddo is just a valley. So the whole world could not gather in this place.

Armageddon is the spiritual, symbolic name for the final battle for the minds of the people of the world, which takes place all over the world.

Jesus said, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Mattew 24:36-King James)

If you do some Bible research you will find that Jesus was actually talking about a "great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."(Matthew 24:21,22-King James)

Further research shows that this "great tribulation" immediately precedes Armageddon. (Matthew 24:29-31;Revelation chapter 16)

So, then since we do not know exactly when the great tribulation that Jesus spoke of occurs, then likewise we do not know the exact day or hour Armageddon occurs either.

However, we are not left completely unaware as to approximately where we are in the stream of time, because Jesus gave us indicators, or world events that tell us that we are close to that time.

I am sure you have heard the expression "signs of the times." That is actually a Biblical expression. Jesus gave a composite sign at Mathew chapter 24, Luke chapter 21, and Mark chapter 13, indicating that there are to be wars, earthquakes, increasing of crime, lack of love by people in general, disease, famine, all of which are happening now, and increasing every day. In 2 Peter 3:1-4, we read that there will be critical times hard to deal with and that people will be unloving, betrayers, disobedient to parents, disloyal, haughty, prideful, headstrong, lovers of themselves, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, and many more things that we see all around us right now. Jesus compared these events to the blooming of a fig tree. He said:"Now learn from the fig tree as an illustration this point: Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and it puts forth leaves, YOU know that summer is near. Likewise also YOU, when YOU see all these things, know that he is near at the doors." Just like when you see a tree putting forth blooms and foliage, you know that summer is near, so when you see all these events at one time (just like a tree in full bloom), you know that the end is near.

As one well known U.S. network newscaster stated just a few days ago, "the scene of this world is changing." Whether he realized it or not, that echos the Bible's words at 1 Corinthians 7:31!

Also Interestingly, there seems to be a speeding up of world events at an astounding rate. Based on world events from the perspective of Jesus' words and Bible prophecy, we are very close to that prophetic time.

Please note: The above is the interpretation of the Bible according to Jehovah's Witness opinion and philosophy. As with any other religious group they have no "proof" and it is based on their own doctrine. Readers should be encouraged to research and consider all reasonable theories and make their own decision. I think it is fair to add that the Jehovah's Witnesses have been predicting the "end of the world" for the last 100 years. They have wisely stopped providing a specific year since 1975. I should know, I used to be a Witness.

Another Answer:

I just want to throw this out there for everyone to think about. If you have questions or want to discuss this further just let me know. First and foremost please read all I have to say before you judge anything. The battle of Armageddon is over, already fought. Lets take a look at what the book of Revelation's says, All my quotes come from the NKJV because it offers an easy read for me, feel free to use any bible you like just make sure its not slanted by the writer to change the meaning. Rev 1:1 "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to his servant John," Here we see that its came from God through Jesus then through an angel to us. I highlighted part of the verse to show you something that most skip right over. Let me show you a little more. Rev 1:3 "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near." Now I know that some will start to argue that it says that because it started in Johns time and goes to the end of time. Lets see what the book says a little farther into it. Rev 22:6 "Then he said to me "These words are faithful and true." And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show his servants the things which must shortly take place." Rev 22:7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." Rev 22:10 "And he said to me, "Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand."(I put part of that verse in italics, we will get to that point in a minute. Rev 22:12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with me, to give to everyone according to his work." Rev 22:20 "He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly." So lets count that up, twice in the first chapter and five times in the last chapter we are told it is something about to happen. Coming quickly, time is near, shortly take place; That doesn't sound like 2000+ years down the road. Now I know the next line of argument is that a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day to God. I get that but lets look at the part I put in italics a moment ago. Rev 22:10 ..."Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book"... Now I want to jump real fast back to Daniel. Dan 8:26 "And the vision of the evenings and mornings which was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refers to many days in the future." in this verse Daniel is told by Gabriel what his vision is refering to and that it is a long way off so he needed to seal up the words. John is told the to not seal the words because the time was at hand. The vision Daniel had was about the fall of Greece, don't take my word for it go read the chapter. Now do your own research to see when Daniel was written and when the fall of Greece was I'll wait for you.....That's right its about 400 years. Now here we have God on Record saying that 400 years was a long time off and to seal the words but in Revelation we are told to not seal it. That means that what ever John was writing about had to take place in less than 400 years.

Now the answer above also mentioned Matthew 24. There is also a lot of miss teaching on that chapter as well. First you have to understand what they are asking Jesus before you can understand his answer. Jesus is upset when he leaves the temple and the disciples where trying to comfort him by showing him how wonderful the temple is. He tells them that not one stone will be left upon another. Which is true in A.D. 70 the Roman army tore it down block by block and not one was left standing on top of another. The disciples came to him and asked him this Matt 24:3 "Now as he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" Ok so what are they asking here? Most people try to make it the end of time questions. First they ask him when these things will be, they are asking when the temple will be destroyed. The second thing asked is what is the sign of His coming, this isn't his second coming. The disciples had no idea that Jesus was leaving. They wanted to sit on his right and left hand when he came into power, Peter cuts off the ear of one of the men trying to capture Jesus. They thought like most Jews at that time did that Jesus would set up an earthly kingdom and ruel the world from Jerusalem. So if they didn't think he was leaving how could they ask when was he coming back. They simply wanted to know when would he be starting his kingdom. The last part of that question was the sign of the end of the age. KJV wrongly has it translated end of the world, get out W.E. Vines dictionary and a Strongs concordance and look it up the word used is not world it is time or age. The only age the disciples knew was the Jewish age. They simply wanted to know when it would end and Christ's age would begin.

There is so much more I could put in here but these are just a few thoughts on the issue. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but I'm tired of mistruth being taught. The word is not that hard to understand if you are willing to study but the problem is that so many of us go into it with a thought already in our head. Its hard to get it out of our heads and we start to look at things and try to make it fit what we want it to say.

Armageddon is a biblical word set in heaven where there is a great war of the angels. Since the word is meant to have spiritual meaning, it will occur on a level that cannot be understood by this world, ie, "where I go you cannot follow..." however based on further writings in the bible; whenever it is set to occur it must occur for all time, for all things in every manner. It is an Ideal as old as the changing seasons, that has endured in our memory as far back as the Oldest Hand that brushed by our being to carry us on our way.
