The cucumber plant is a flowering plant. Yes.
There are hundreds of varieties of cucumbers and they all vary in the length of time it takes for the plant to fruit. It can take anywhere from 45-70 days.
The vine
you can grow cucumbers and pickle them...
It is now late July and you will be seeing cucumbers in the stores. Does that answer your question ? In Ontario they grow cucumbers year round in green houses ( with no dirt . . . all chemical liquid crap and the cucumbers taste like it ! In my opinion . . . ). Plant cucumbers in the spring ( I plant the 3rd week of May in Ontario, when I am in Colorado, I plant the 1st week in June. )
Pickles are pickled cucumbers. There is not pickle plant.
The best time to plant them is in the beginning of April, before the 10th.
i think the best time to plant them is around November to give them time to grow
The cucumber is the fruit of the cucumber vine plant.
Cucumbers do not come from the root of the plant. They grow on the vine. Beets, carrots, and sweet potatoes are all roots.
