When it rains why does our 2000 Ford Windstar LX brake lights stick on when turned off This is a pain because it drains your battery and then you need a boost Any ideas as to why they stay on?

Sounds like you may have a defective relay, which is in the fuse box. It is worth checking out.

If I had to guess I would say you have a short in the electrical system that slowly drains the battery as it sits.
