First question is the truck getting fuel and spark. If you smell fuel and it is just flooding it would point to the electrical side of the system.I would recommend checking for spark by removing the number 1 spark plug wire(have someone turn the truck over, while you have the plug boot to the plug remove but very close to the plug) it should show a spark. If you have no spark it could be several things. It can be either bad wires, bad distributor cap and rotor button or even a bad coil.I would just do a tune up FIRST being new plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor button. If after this the truck still does not start it will only point to TWO items either the coil is bad,or the ignition pick up inside the distributor is worn.If the problem is not the electrical side being the items above and it is not getting fuel,it could be a clogged or dirty fuel filter or a bad fuel pump which on your model will be inside the FUEL TANK.If the fuel pump is not working at the prescribed psi (meaning too low) the truck will not start or even try to start due to lack of fuel.Unless I missed the question totally please reply back on this post specifically under the discussion which is highlighted and add information relevant to the issue.Hope this helps.
if this is a automatic truck change the distributor pick up had same problem on 1989 b 2200
I have the same problem, I have seen somewhere that it might be the ECM (Engine Controle Module), if you figured the problem out please help, I will keep trying and looking on my side and will post any news.
There are a few reasons why a 1994 Mazda Protege won't start, but does crank. A couple of reasons could be the air flow sensor or a problem in the fuel lines.
This is usually known as a neutral safety switch or shift interlock switch.
Check the fuel control relay behind the drivers side kick panel. Could be bad. If that is ok start at the fuel tank and check the wires and connectors to the front of the truck. Good Luck Jerry
could be fuel starvation
i have no clue i have the same problem with my Mazda 1999 626
Battery dead.
I have a 89 Mazda 626 with a similar problem. Sometimes when I go to start it it won't start. (It does not click like yours does.) All I do is put the car in neutral and turn the key. It starts right up. Maybe this could help you.
I do not have a answer for it, do you an answer for this problem?
The problem with the Nissan Elgrand if it does not start when the switch is on could be a mechanical problem.
