How do you place charging leads to two 6 volt deep cycle batteries that are in series?

If the charger is a 12 volt DC machine, connect the leads to the two battery terminals that the load is taken from. Take care to note the polarity of the leads to the polarity of the battery terminals. There will be a short jumper cable between the two six volt batteries. The charger leads go on the opposite terminals of the two batteries that the jumper is connected to.

Can you charge a battery in a motorcycle without removing it?

The basic answer is yes. By removing the seat you will expose the battery on most sport bikes and cruisers, this will allow you to view the battery and place the leads from a trickle charger on the battery. Always use caution not to cross the battery leads as you may damage the battery and or some electronic component. For Motorcycle related how to articles visit http://www.ronincycleparts.com

Why will my ba falcon start with a jump start but not without one when the battery is fine?

I would check the battery terminals, probably a buildup of corrosion between the posts and the terminals, clean them up with boiling water and sandpaper till both parts are shiny clean. If you are connecting the jumper leads to the battery terminals when jump starting and it works fine then this is the only possibility.

How do you change the battery on a 1988 Yamaha Virago 1100?

Remove left side cover, and remove bolt that holds the seat in the front near the back of the gas tank. After removing the bolt, CAREFULL slide seat forward, I say CAREFULLY because when it releases, you could smack the back of the gas tank. Remove right side cover, batter should slide out to the right. Disconnect leads, and clean leads thoroughly. Reinstall battery is reverse of removal. Put a little dielectric grease on battery terminals to keep them from corroding.

New starter and solenoid and the solenoid just clicks?

The problem can be that the battery terminals are not tight enough or that the battery cables are worn out. A starter needs really tight contact to the battery in order to supply enough current to the solenoid and starter -- merely touching the terminals won't be enough.
