Your shifter will line up pretty good . Adjust your linkage so that the "N" lines up with the shifter while the trans is in neutral. You will have an extra forward position so it might be a bit tight grabbing low but it'll work. The important thing is to have park and reverse in the correct spot for safety reasons.
The nylon bushing at the bottom of the shifter is worn out. remove console. put shifter in the neutral position, unbolt shifter from transmission. replace bushing, then reinstall. good luck...
No, they are different. They do use the same console shifter though. I know that's not what you wanted to hear. Sorry.
In the console or in the dash, depending on location of shifter, or possible on the outside of the transmission.
install transmission shifter assembly
The shifter cable connects the shifter to the transmission.
you will have to take the console out or at least the top piece of the console and then you will see the shifter is bolted to the floor.
On the transmission. I is hooked up to your shifter. Be careful replacing this part. It will strip out easy and be no good.
The switch is under the center console, screws are on the sides, at the base of the shifter handle. Try using CNC Contact cleaner and adjusting the switch position before replacing.
Usually it is located on the shifter inside the console. You have to disassemle the console around the shifter to get to it.
how to remove trans shifter cable ball socket from shifter ball
This should be really simple, if you've already removed all of the bolts which hold the shifter in including the one behind the shifter hole in the trans, the shifter should slide right down into the transmission (provided the transmission was in neutral when you pulled the shifter)
On the center console toward driver there should be a small cover with one screw holding it in place. Remove the screw and put your key into the slot behind cover. this should unlock the shifter.
