The SAT only tests up to Algebra II. The student has learned all of the content after that class. The time to take your first SAT is the Fall of your junior year. It is the golden rule to take the SAT no more than 3 times and starting in the fall of your junior will allow plenty of time for retakes. I would agree with Lizzy Smith, when I was preparing for my SAT, my teacher recommended me examville and some other sites, but I must say that examville is by far the best. The questions are timed and with explanations.
