You should replace them with an ellipses (...). For example, if the original quote is "He went to the store and bought chocolate, ice cream, and cake, wandered through the aisles and talked to a few people, then came home," you could replace it with "He went to the store...then came home."

Make sure, though, that you don't omit something that drastically changes the meaning of the sentence. For example, you cannot change "I hope he will not choke on his chocolate bar" to "I hope he will...choke on his chocolate bar."

What is an elliptical adverb?

An elliptical adverb clause is one that omits words that may be understood. For example, in the sentence "he is more knowledgeable than I" the pronoun I is used because the full clause would be "than I am knowledgeable." The same applies for an omitted subject: "He was more startled than scared" omits the words "he was" before scared.

What is the proper spelling of re?

Dear Sir or MadamRe your recent question about the spelling of re:- When 're' is used (when writing a letter) to mean 'regarding/concerning' or 'in the matter of', it is written as re .... or as Re.... (i.e. capitalized) if it is the first word of a heading or sentence. As the word 're' is an abbreviation of a Latin expression, earlier examples show the two letters followed by a full stop (i.e. 'Re.' or 're.'), indicating that it is an abbreviation, but modern usage generally now omits the full stop.Regards......

Can you translate this in English?

This sentence doesn't really make sense.ソーカ (sooka) doesn't have any meaning in Japanese, unless you meant そうか (souka) which may be used to mean "is that so?" or "really?".いつ (itsu means "when" in Japanese.早いですか (hayai desu ka) may be used to mean either "is it early?" or "is it fast?". As Japanese often omits the subject, the "it" may also be "he", "she" or anything.Together, this may be そうか?いつ早いですか (souka? itsu hayai desu ka) which could mean something like "really? when is it early?" in Japanese, although this still doesn't sound entirely correct.

What is the difference between accounting balance sheet and economic balance sheet?

Straight from my text, the difference is that an accounting balance sheet omits significant assets and liabilities and the accounting balance sheet does not report all assets and liabilities at their market value (the accounting balance sheet records a book value; ie the dollar value paid for an item). With respect to which assets and liabilities that are omitted, I am not sure.
