I have a 1999 Nissan Altima and currently has 156000 on it. The manufacturer recomendation for the timing belt is every 75,000 miles.
change should be made at 75,000 miles
Belt. no a tinning chain
It has a timing chain that should last the life of the engine.
How do you change a timing belt on a 1999 Plymouth Breeze belt was broken?
when it breaks More info here: http://www.nissanforums.com/l30-1998-2001-altima/125696-timing-belt-chain.html
Timing Belt
It doesn't have a timing belt so, the answer is no.
not have timing belt, it has chaing belt
It's actually not a belt, its a timing chain on the altima se-r...much better for the car! From what I've heart around 150,000 miles you should either change it or at least get it checked.
about 100,000 mile if it,s a timing belt
The altima uses a timing chain, not a belt.
