Just spray key wd-40, and work the key in the ignition.
The headgasket has failed.
It's broken.
Check the coil pack or the cam position sensor
try transmission sensors
Probably a blown head gasket. If the car has an (engine) oil cooler it might be a leak there too.
My 96 Breeze did the same thing. Sometimes it would start again, other times it didn't. I took it to the dealer (after an independent shop said "you need a new engine") and it turned out to be the cam sensor. It has run like a champ ever since.
Whats wrong when an 86 ford aerostar keeps trying to start after the engine is running?
crank position sensor
It's possibly the keyswitch, neutral lockout switch, bad connection from the keyswitch or other electrical problems. You'll need to just track it down.
The problem is Owning a 97 Breeze.
On the side of the transmission. It is called a solenoid pack. To change a shift solenoid you must replace that. Having been in the transmission business for a long time you probably have more wrong than that with that particular transmission.
Easy take it into a car shop like Crossroads..
